The commune of Bayeux, located in Calvados, has decided to revise its heritage preservation plan related to the historic center.

This plan, now obsolete, will be totally rewritten to better protect the heritage while facilitating renovation work.

A heritage architect and their team will be tasked with visiting nearly 1,700 buildings in the city center to evaluate the objects that deserve to be protected.

This step is essential to revise the Heritage Protection and Enhancement Plan, which regulates the landscape and heritage aspect, both inside and outside buildings.

Bayeux is one of the 1,000 French communes named a Remarkable Heritage Site (SPR), which is an honor for this historic city.
