A wave of intense heat hit France on Sunday, leading to temperature records in several cities.

The temperature reached 34.5°C in La Rochelle, 34.1°C in Brive and 33.8°C in Bergerac.

These records are exceptional for a May month.

A dozen departments are currently placed on yellow alert for Monday due to this exceptional heat.
