Actress Sibel Kekilli has surprised fans by announcing her marriage on Instagram.

The couple was shown cutting their wedding cake by celebrity hairstylist Jörg Oppermann in an Instagram Story.

Kekilli's post was accompanied by numerous congratulatory messages, including from TV host Pinar Atalay and singer Cassandra Steen.

Sibel Kekilli is considered one of the most prominent German actresses of her generation and has previously advocated for women's and girls' rights.
