Gmina Bretteville-sur-Laize (Calvados) launched a 3 million euro rehabilitation project of an old factory.

The goal is to create a unique hybrid third place, which reinvents the concept of Norman reurbanity.

The site, which was part of local heritage, housed a large 500 m² hall and lived an industrial history.

The project provides a mix of uses with a commercial hub on the ground floor, a short circuit store and a restaurant working with local producers.

The idea is to create a link between the historic center and the new neighborhoods pushing up the hills.
