A 59-year-old hiker was rescued by firefighters in Gard after a fall in the Navacelles circus.

The accident occurred on Sunday 24 May, around 15h, in a difficult-to-access area.

The victim was airlifted by the civil security helicopter and taken to the Saint-Louis clinic in Ganges.

Firefighters took charge of the hiker after rescuing her in a hard-to-reach area on foot.
