An exceptional heat has invaded metropolitan France since Friday 22 May, with temperatures reaching 35 °C in some regions.

The South-West has been particularly affected.

According to meteorological forecasts, temperatures could exceed seasonal norms by 14 °C.

Nights are expected to be difficult, with nighttime temperatures ranging around 29 °C.

The situation is not expected to improve before the end of the week, with heat peaks reaching 39 °C in some regions.
