Child Abuse Victim Speaks Out on Police Failures
A woman who was abused by a babysitter as a child has spoken out about the lasting impact of police failures in her case.
Michaela Allen, 38, was awarded £32,000 in compensation after police lost vital evidence and failed to charge her abuser.
Two other alleged victims of the same perpetrator received around £10,000 each.
Michaela says the compensation does not bring her closure, as the perpetrator remains at large and poses a risk to the public.
The case highlights the long-term effects of child abuse and the importance of effective police investigations.
