Slow Food International President Edward Mukiibi expressed his gratitude to founder Carlo Petrini, who recently passed away.

Mukiibi remembered how Petrini believed in him and allowed him to become the leader he is today.

He also thanked Petrini for loving Africa and giving young Africans the opportunity to study gastronomy.

Petrini was a great supporter of biodiversity and worked to protect the environment.

His legacy continues to live on through the vision of Slow Food International.
