In Turkey's capital Ankara, police stormed the HQ of the largest opposition party CHP.

Party leader Özgür Özel had barricaded himself there after a court declared his election as party chairman invalid.

Police broke down barricades and used tear gas to gain access to the building.

It is unclear if there are any casualties.

Özel left the building and announced that CHP will now fight for power on the streets and squares.

The ousted leadership is calling for protests in Istanbul.
