Former Prime Minister Romano Prodi expressed concern for Europe's weakness in the face of world powers.

According to him, the European Union should have a unified intervention capacity to be able to play its role on the international stage.

Prodi also highlighted the need to overcome the historical divisions within the EU and eliminate the unanimity voting mechanism, which slows down community decisions.

The former Prime Minister also expressed concern for the strategic capacity of the United States and Israel, which are not accompanied by adequate political capacity.

Italian Minister Anna Maria Bernini has presented an ambitious project to build an Italian university in Gaza and Lebanon.

Her goal is to bring scientific democracy to these areas of the Middle East.

The minister has already shared the roadmap of the intervention and announced that from late August she will start visiting Palestine to verify the locations where she could build the university.

The project is part of a broader international cooperation plan to promote research and development in these areas of the world.
